Maynell House was originally built for Joseph Sharpe, famous for his toffees. We believe it was named after his two daughters. It later became one of the houses that formed the Felixstowe Ladies College. In 1998 after the sad demise or the college it was purchased by the Pri-Med Group. It was then transformed into the grand and elegant home it is today through the hard work and determination of the Pri-Med team.
All the staff and myself feel privileged to work in such a lovely home, caring for such special people, providing healthy amounts of entertainment, and independence.
Maynell House is on of the newest home to the Pri-Med Group, having been acquired after the break up of the old Felixstowe Girls College. Much time and attention has been lavished on the building to convert it into what is now (along with Foxgrove next door)certainly the finest home in Felixstowe. We have a selection of very comfortable lounge areas, and an Oak paneled dining room (some dating from the sixteenth century.) As in many of our homes we also have a hair salon, where our hairdresser or your own may style your hair.
